Not at all. Most people who visit Weston Lodge Shooting Ground are complete beginners, and our experienced CPSA-qualified instructors will guide you through every step.

You'll receive a full safety briefing before you begin, along with expert tuition on how to safely handle the shotgun, use the equipment and hit your first targets. All safety equipment is provided, so there's no need to bring any specialist kit.

If you're wondering whether you need previous experience for clay pigeon shooting, the answer is still no. Our sessions are designed to be enjoyable for first-time shooters while also providing a fun challenge for those with previous experience.

The only exception is our regular Practice Shoot, which is intended for experienced shotgun certificate holders using their own shotgun and personal protective equipment.
